Don't Text and Drive Awareness Day
Sunday, September 12th, 2010
In memory of Jacob Hefter, who tragically lost his life in the September 12th 2008 Metrolink crash in Chatsworth California, the Jacob Hefter Foundation in conjunction with the cities of Palmdale and Lancaster are proclaiming September 12th as "Don't text and drive" awareness Day. Every year thousands of people die because of careless and selfish decisions that are made to text while driving. Drivers need to put down the phone and focus on driving: otherwise it may cost you your life or, the life of your loved ones. Please make a positive  choice by joining the Jacob Hefter Foundation on September 12th on making this one day a little safer for you and your loved ones, your neighbors and even the stranger in the car next to you.
Dine at Chili's in Lancaster and Palmdale on September 12th and a portion of your bill will go towards the foundation. You must present this flyer(click to print)-->View Document
